Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy aims to re-programme patterns of behaviour within the mind, enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome. This takes place once the client has reached a deep relaxed and enhanced state of awareness and the subconscious mind is open to suggestion.

What does hypnotherapy feel like?

Hypnosis is very similar to meditation, and falling asleep but the subject fails to lose conscious awareness.  This means that you are able to hear and sense things around you but typically your eyes are closed and you are not moving.  You are comfortably relaxed and will notice that your breathing slows down and most of your muscles become relaxed.  There is a sense of distance from where you are and the passage of time gets distorted and you often feel a pleasant, almost euphoric state of peace.

Because you have conscious awareness at all times, this means that you cannot be made to do something that you are not comfortable with and you will be in control at all times.

How can hypnotherapy help me?

I am able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations so that deep seated instincts and beliefs are abolished and altered, enabling you to change direction and reach your full potential.
